honestly beautiful

Thank you very much for three wonderful games! It was an extremely informative and interesting experience! I even created an account specifically to thank you. Surely in the future we will be able to build real AI and to expand the boundaries of self-expression. Well, we will also be able to build a socially oriented market economy. I believe that YES WE CAN :) :) :)

The spambots are the best part.

(+1)

Agreed

(+3)

I came here to say the same thing.  The spambots really stuck with me.  They're so engaging!

(+3)

This game is adorable, and very sweet. Thank you for making and sharing it!

I love the idea of representing drone-network-land as the windows desktop background. Very silly and cute.

(+7)

aww this game is cute - i love the spambots :3

(+2)

I felt some happiness spark in me around the ending of this. This made me feel hope for a future as bright as this game's.

(+1)

Cute little game, the drones are awfully adorable despite how simple the game is. Hopefully the future can be as bright as this game wants.

(+8)

Excellent example of gamified hope-punk with an engaging story, and super-cute pixel art. Delivers a warm, fuzzy feeling directly into my brain. An absolute comfort game, and one with which I'm completely enamored ♡

(Now that I've got some context, time to play the new one)

(+7)

I wish to be a robot, *sigh.*

(+1)

absolutely lovely!

The characters in this game look like sonic impregnated a vending machine

(+2)

We really love this game, it's very uplifting and a great concept. The characterisation and artwork is extremely endearing too.

This game deserves so much more attention than it receives. It has suddenly appeared here and now i cannot get these little robots out of my head. the story telling was amazing and the art style really looked good. the only issue is the path finding for the characters could use some refining, but i think that is miniscule compared to the rest of the games greatness.

(+1)

So… Uh…
When you first play as c4f3…
If you go in the back door of the robotics lab(?)…
The camera shakes before loading the next map and there's a 'thud' sound…
And then the interior map loads and the game locks up…

Oh, that's interesting. You've found a glitch that's related to the janky way the multi-screen scenes work. The pathfinding moves you into a scroll trigger, which causes a signal to fire that makes the scene transition happen, but controls never get re-enabled because the player character never arrives at the co-ordinates the game is expecting.

I've implemented a quick workaround in the web version, pending a proper fix, which should make it harder to get into that situation. Normally you can get out of this sort of thing by restarting the game and reloading the autosave, but obviously that's not always an option. Certainly not the intended experience.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the bug report!

(+2)

If you've ever had an interest in the concept of what it feels like to be inhuman, to be something else? I think you'll like this a whole lot.

It's not a big time commitment, and there's an autosave system (nice!) so you can put it down and pick it up if you need to. It's never been easier to play something that'll make you feel something unusual and beautiful.

(I say "it's not a big time commitment" but also I want to make clear: if this was a 500-hour checklisty-open-world-thing, I'd 100% it, no hesitation)

(+1)

Feels very disjointed and overall more like a proof of concept, but I still enjoyed the experience tremendously and greatly look forward to more like it :) Thank you for once again sharing this with us all!

10/10, genuinely affected the way I thought for the rest of the day.

I love the game. But there's a bug in the windows version that the game don't let you interact anything, including the both doors in the first floor hallway after entering the kitchen then going back to the the first floor hallway, which stops me from continuing the game. I hope it will be fixed in the future.

Sorry to hear that! The way the game handles multi-screen rooms is unfortunately a bit janky. If that happens to you, entering the kitchen again and going back should fix it, as should saving and re-loading the game.

I tried that but it wasn't fixed. Hopefully it will in the future update.

Aw, thank you <3 I wanted to make something that ends up being nice, since cyberpunk is often a very cynical genre.

this was great, I really didn't expect political theory in this gamejam, but its highly appreciated. Thank you for making this game, comrade!

I have a bit of an obsession with the idea of a robot labour union, haha. Glad you liked it!

Whoa. This is shockingly good. Your art has gotten much better, and the story was shockingly open ended where having not played Transubstantiation Synthesis I didn't even guess the full context. and having now played it's prequal I wanna replay it with my new open third (drone?) eye. This comment will be broken into 2 parts.

After a replay:

I missed a few things on my first playthrough. and going in with what I know from pass work might have helped me keep and eye out better. Tho I have a lot to say! I think well I'm here tho talking about me: this was a fetish (kink?) I was pretty aware of. tho it was mostly people being turned into sex drones and not real drones. THO I'm unsure if any of the people you play even like the PC from the former game.

All that being said. this game, well short, was very sweet! Talking to people and other drones were- really fun. and a perspective that your in is something I've never see before. Most authors try and give robots more life right out of the box. but this was very interesting. Seeing them doing basic tasks and talking like a robot, but still want a very human thing. approval. before becoming more- human like but still wanting the same thing. It's honestly the first time betting put into the shoes and getting it.

the tone is as you said very different much light hearted. In fact it's so different in a lot of ways that if you really could have gotten away with calling it a new setting outright. very little outside of name sake seems like it would link it to the pass game. However I get a very strong feeling we're not seeing the whole picture. Like stuff was happening well Cafe and A771 were off. You know what? That's a good thing in my eyes. It's good you had faith in what you had said, and knew the perspective we had as the drones. You didn't try to overload us for lack of a better word.

The fact the game kinna made me wanna be a drone... and rethink my view on my all my kinks. I'm unsure if I should give praise to that though. In a way I don't want you the artist to feel like you have to make a prodoct to please everyone. however I also know as an artist that it's still nice to make someone a lot of people can like. And this is something I think most people would enjoy even if they aren't into the kink itself. it's a good stepping off point and intro. I think with most stuff if you try and go in head first you'll have more extrema reactions and risk pushing people away. regardless I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here if you did what your heart said was right.

Sorry for the really long ramble. This was just something that spoke to me. Cafe really spoke to me to be clear. Tho even A771 was- relatable. you made robots who want to just server their humans relatable. Amazing. Wonderful. I pogged. Jokes aside. tl'dr Give this a try! It's not long and is free so you've got nothing to loose.

And to Kayedrgn: you did a good job! X3 for the time you had it came out better than lot of game jams. I'll be looking forward to whatever you do next- oh and please- P L E A S E- give us info on how to make our own Utilikin oc. I uh- need em in my life now.

Really enjoyed this one. Effectively an interactive short story, but on top of that it was well written and the characters were engaging. My favourites are probably the spambots, but each of the drones had their own charm <3

(+4)

wholesome

i came for smut but found cuteness

love it

(+2)

I think that's the cutest depiction of robots I've ever seen

(+3)

I love this game. I love everything about it. I want plushies of the spambots. God. I would love to see more. This is amazing.

(+1)

controls and UI are definitely an improvement over the last game. Story-telling and characters were well done. Also love the little details, I'd point out my favorites, but don't want to spoil the discovery for others.
Kudos all around. Looking forward to more from you in the future. If you make posts on other platforms, Twitter, Furaffinty, ect, would like to follow you.

I love this! It's so cute and fun to go through. I really love the spambots, they're so adorable. I really want to see more from you! I will say that transitioning between screens can be kind of akward though.

YES! I loved Transubstantiation Synthesis and I cannot wait to play this new game. I’m presently in class but I saw the email notif and had to look.

Edit: Just played through. It's definitely as different from the last game as you said but it's still really cute and fun. I feel inspired and I'm going to go write... something. Something drone related, idk. It could be something with a story or I could start writing and immediately decide to make it smutt instead.
